Skin Peels
Chemical peels are non-surgical, cosmetic procedures that apply a chemical solution to the skin to exfoliate, remove damaged outer layers, and stimulate new, healthier skin growth.
They are used to treat acne, scarring, wrinkles, sun damage, and uneven pigmentation. Treatments are classified as superficial, medium, or deep depending on the depth of penetration.
What are skin peels?

At Dr Alison Lee Aesthetics, we have both alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) and beta hydroxy acid (BHA) peels. AHA peels (e.g. glycolic, lactic acid) are water-soluble exfoliants best for dry, mature, or sun-damaged skin to smooth the surface, treat fine lines, and boost hydration. BHA peels (e.g. salicylic acid) are oil-soluble, penetrating deep into pores to treat acne, blackheads, and oily skin.
