JULÄINE™

What is JULÄINE™?

JULÄINE™ is a new skin bio-activator that is designed to regenerate. It leverages the regenerative power of Poly-L Lactic Acid to activate collagen production and rejuvenate the skin in a natural way. Supported by science and validated by experts, JULÄINE™ provides an inspiring solution to skin rejuvenation and the treatment of wrinkles and folds.

JULÄINE™ represents a leap in biostimulator technology, developed by Swedish biotech company Nordberg Medical using their proprietary LASYNPRO™ (Lactic-Acid Induced Synthesis of Collagen Protein) microsphere technology.  Unlike traditional treatments that provide temporary volume through mechanical filling, JULÄINE™ works at the cellular level to stimulate your body’s natural collagen production.

What makes Julaine exceptional is its low-inflammatory pathway approach. While other biostimulators may cause more pronounced inflammatory responses, Juläine’s advanced microsphere design minimises inflammation while maximising collagen production.  This means more comfortable treatments with superior, longer-lasting results.

By activating fibroblast cells to regenerate healthy collagen in a low-inflammatory way, JULÄINE™ progressively smoothens wrinkles and tightens the skin.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is PLLA?

PLLA stands for Poly-L-Lactic Acid, a biodegradable, biocompatible polymer made from lactic acid. It has been used in medical applications for over 40 years. Its use in the field of Medical Aesthetics has spanned over 25 years. PLLA is just a long chain of lactic acid, the same substance your body makes naturally. As it dissolves, it breaks back down into lactic acid, which your body safely processes into energy, water, and CO2.

2. How quickly will I see results with Juläine?

When you start Juläine treatments, the improvements aren’t immediate like with traditional fillers, but that’s part of what makes it so natural-looking. Within 2–3 weeks, you’ll notice your skin looking more hydrated and glowing. Around 4–6 weeks, the texture and firmness of your skin start to improve, and by 8–12 weeks, the full benefits of collagen remodeling become apparent. This gradual transformation ensures your skin appears naturally rejuvenated, not suddenly altered.

3. How many treatment sessions will I need?

Most people find that 2–3 sessions spaced about four weeks apart are enough to achieve noticeable results. Your clinician will assess your skin’s condition and goals to create a personalised plan. The idea is to allow your skin to build collagen steadily so that each session enhances the results of the previous one, leading to a natural, progressive improvement.

4. What are the common side effects?

Short-term side effects are generally mild and temporary. You may notice redness, swelling, tenderness, or slight bruising at the injection sites, but these usually disappear within a day or two. Because Juläine is made from biocompatible ingredients, severe complications are extremely rare, especially when the treatment is administered by a qualified clinician in a safe clinical setting.
